Meituan’s Xiao Tuani AI arrives on the homepage, offering proactive travel planning and booking for the upcoming May Day holiday.
Just in time for the May Day holiday, Meituan has integrated "Xiao Tuani AI" directly onto its homepage. This new "Travel Companion" is designed to be the ultimate tool for busy users, offering personalized itinerary planning, real-time ticket booking, and "Crowd-Avoidance" suggestions based on live data from millions of users.
Users can simply tell the AI, "Plan a 3-day family trip to Chengdu with a focus on local food and kid-friendly parks," and Xiao Tuani will generate a complete schedule, including hotel bookings and restaurant reservations. It even monitors weather and traffic conditions in real-time, offering to adjust the plan if a sudden rainstorm is detected.
The launch represents Meituan’s shift toward a "Service-First" AI strategy. By turning its app into a proactive assistant, Meituan aims to capture more of the travel market during peak seasons. Early feedback shows that users appreciate the "one-click" nature of the AI, which eliminates the need to jump between multiple apps to organize a trip.
