Zebra Intelligence and Alipay Launch "AI Pay" to Revolutionize Smart Cockpit Transactions

Zebra Intelligence (Banma) and Alipay have officially launched "AI Pay," a specialized financial solution designed specifically for the next generation of smart vehicle cockpits. This technology marks a shift from simple "Voice Command" systems to "Voice-to-Transaction" systems. For the first time, drivers can use natural language to not only find a location but to complete full transactions—such as booking a hotel, buying movie tickets, or ordering meals—without ever touching a screen.

The "AI Pay" system uses biometric voice recognition and secure intent-verification layers to ensure that transactions are both safe and authorized. The integration allows the vehicle’s AI to cross-reference the user’s schedule and location to offer proactive suggestions, such as "Your favorite coffee shop is 2 minutes away; would you like me to order and pay for your usual?"

Initial rollouts are scheduled for high-end electric vehicles in the China market, with plans for a global expansion later this year. By turning the car into a mobile payment hub, Alipay and Zebra are aiming to capture a significant share of the "In-Transit Economy" which is expected to boom as autonomous driving features become more common.
