On December 26th, the general AI assistant Lingguang announced that its users had successfully created 12 million "Flash Apps." As one of Lingguang’s three core features, Flash Apps allow users with no programming background to describe their needs in natural language. Lingguang can then generate an editable, interactive, and shareable mini-app in as fast as 30 seconds. The rapid growth in the number of Flash Apps created indicates that this product format is being quickly adopted and consistently used by everyday users.

According to public reports, just two weeks after Lingguang’s launch, users had already created 3.3 million Flash Apps. In less than a month, this number grew to 12 million, driven by its ability to meet personalized needs in daily life. For example, Mao Qiang, a user from Henan, used Lingguang’s Flash Apps to create a "Little Microphone" app for his father, who suffers from paralysis and speech impairment. By tapping large-font buttons for phrases like "eat" or "sleep," the phone clearly vocalizes the commands. Mao Qiang also added more features tailored to other speech-impaired seniors, naming the app "Little Microphone for Grandparents."

The Flash Apps created by users already cover major scenarios such as entertainment and companionship, daily services, productivity tools, and education and self-improvement. Industry experts note that this usage pattern suggests Flash Apps are not only becoming a new gateway for users to customize tools and services but are also unlocking the creativity of everyday people and amplifying the practical value of advanced AI tools in real-world situations.

Data from QuestMobile shows that Lingguang has entered the top 10 AI-native apps by weekly active users in 2025, with a daily average usage frequency of 4.6 times per user since its launch. For an AI-native app centered on "dialogue + app generation," such performance indicates that users are not merely experimenting with it temporarily but are increasingly integrating it into their daily toolkit for consistent use in both work and life scenarios.

Behind the 12 million Flash Apps lies AI’s ability to meet highly personalized, situational, and immediate user needs. As more scenarios are activated, Lingguang’s potential in both personal and enterprise applications is expected to continue expanding.
